Discipleship Ministry

A variety of classes offered to help believers grow in their relationships with Christ and with others.

Building Blocks for Believers: This is an exciting class for new believers and seasoned saints alike. What do you believe about God? Why do you believe in the Bible? Do you know how to share your beliefs with others?  Through small group instruction and lessons focusing on the scriptures, you will not only learn about or reinforce your basic Christian beliefs, but you will also learn how to share your beliefs with others using every day language.

CPC Orientation:  Come join us as we discuss and discover the benefits of being a member of a local body of believers, what the church expects of its members, and how the church body helps you fulfill your life’s purposes through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism.

First Step:  Every long journey begins with the first step. First Step is the beginning of the Training TREKK. It is our way of introducing you to the discipleship process here at Center Pointe.

Network: Do you know what your spiritual gifts are? To help you understand how God has uniquely made you and has equipped you for service, come join us as we discover your unique Servant Profile which includes your Passion (where you’re motivated to serve); Spiritual gifts (what you’re equipped to do); and Personal Style (how you can best serve).  You will also understand God’s design for the church, and your unique role within it.

Crown Ministry:  Many might say that “money is the root of all kinds of evil.” Actually, it’s the “love of money” that is the root of all kinds of evil.  God’s word tells us more about money than nearly any other subject.  Understanding how to properly handle money through God’ s perspective should be a priority in the life of every believer.

Discipleship: This course, Be One, Make One, For One, is a study of the Gospel of Matthew that teaches how Jesus made disciples. This class lays the ground work for what a disciple is—what we are to do!

Summit: This class is made up of ten of the best leadership presentations from Willow Creek’s annual leadership conferences.  These presentations will serve as the catalyst for living room conversation on the topic of leadership.

Home Group Training: This course is for existing Home Group Leaders or anyone interested in leading a Home Group.  We will discuss the dynamics included in starting, maintaining and multiplying Home Groups.  You will also learn conflict management, leading a meeting and mentoring techniques

Coaches Training:  Leadership level training for those who are overseeing and sheparding our Home Group Leaders.  Topics covered include how to visit groups, how to resolve conflict, how to create clear lines of communication, how to multiply groups and how to duplicate your ministry.

The Truth Project: In this class we will direct our attention to four fundamental issues: What is truth? Who is God? Who is man? What is social order? We will look at contemporary culture in light of the truth presented in the Bible. Our ultimate goal is not simply to gain knowledge, but to look upon the face of God– and to be transformed in the process. “Do you really believe that what you believe is really real?”

Make Your Teaching Matter:  If you possess the gift of teaching and want to make the most of your opportunities to inspire, to instruct, and to positively and permanently impact others this course is designed for you.
